Purpose: The Fall Conference Committee is a sub-committee of the OSPA Conference Committee. Members are responsible for the planning and execution of the annual OSPA Fall Conference. Co-Chairs work with the OSPA staff to coordinate speakers, agenda, and hotel logistics prior to and during the Fall Conference. They work with the Spring Conference Co-Chairs to survey the full OSPA membership regarding professional development needs and topics of interest. Members of the committee assist with tasks leading up to and during the conference such as registration/check-ins, ushers, and ensuring that evaluation surveys and certificates of attendance are issued as needed. Members may be also be delegated other tasks at the discretion of the Co-Chairs.
The Conference Committee will meet on Thursday, November 7, 2019 after the Wine & Cheese event at the OSPA Fall Conference (5:30-6:15 pm). All members (or interested members) are encouraged to attend to help brainstorm topics for future conferences.
In addition, many conference attendees have expressed interest in changing the conference format to include breakout sessions. The Board created an ad-hoc committee (Conference Future Planning Committee) to research the logistical and financial implications of such a change. This committee is in need of additional members. If you have expressed the desire to see a change in the format, you are encouraged to join the committee to help make the change. Please contact Jennifer Glenn if you can be a part of this planning.
