Margaret Hazelett passed away peacefully Feb. 2, 2020, at Primrose of Marion at the age of 85.
The day of Marge's funeral the weather was treacherous.
Schools were closed. Much of the funeral was canceled, such as a grave site service. Not many people could attend because of the weather.
None of the write-ups mentioned that she was a registered nurse and worked as a nurse before going into teaching before becoming a school psychologist before becoming an OSU instructor before becoming a radio programmer. None of the articles mentioned the many boards on which she served or the awards that she had earned.
Throughout Marge's life she inspired the people she worked with in her various roles. She won numerous well-deserved awards for her commitment to help others and professionalism.
She also owned and operated several businesses.
Marge stood for all things good. She was kind and generous. She was a life long learner taking college courses even into her 80's.
I miss her laughter and joyfulness.
Marge married Harold Hazelett on June 11, 1961, after the two met in Tiffin, Ohio. Harold preceded Margaret in death on May 30, 2001.
Marge is survived by her sisters, Margorie Koehler and Loretta Bargaheiser, stepson Craig Hazelett, granddaughter, nieces, nephews, and great nephews and great nieces.
