Lawmakers have been away from the capitol since July but will finalize a flurry of legislation before the year ends during the period known as lame duck.
HB 183, the legislation to require individuals to use the bathroom of their gender at birth while at universities and K-12 schools, was amended by the House into a Senate bill (SB 104) concerning College Credit Plus and then passed by the House. All that remains is for a concurrence vote in the Senate and the governor has indicated he would sign the bill. Expect to see action in lame duck.
